Gateway

Just like the orbital base in Frederic Pohl's novel "Gateway", the entry way to Leland Hotel is a portal to many distant worlds. You enter it without knowing where will it take you, but you are certainly glad to take the trip into the unknown. There are riches and fame upon your return, that is if you return, and when you do there will be no other one like you on The Nickel in the Upper Skid Row.

Thieving Magpie

I did another mural on a rooftop here in the Historic Downtown Los Angeles. Its located on the top of the King Edward Building in the Upper Skid Row area. Magpies are known to steal shiny objects, such as a pearl necklace like the one I did here. I have been exploring the dimensional silhouettes in my recent works, filling them with galaxies and spaced themed imagery. This mural is visible from few surrounding buildings.

Rooftop of Venus

I painted this mural on the rooftop of King Edward Hotel. The building is on the edge of Skid Row in the Historic Downtown Los Angeles. This building is over 100 years old and houses the oldest bar in LA- The King Eddy. I did this in one day and my buddy Jeremy- icanbomb.com- recorded the whole process + more, so a cool video its coming soon!
